Christmas has been and gone and we are into the New Year, Bon Annee for 2009 one and all.
It has been cold and crisp on the Cap d'Antibes throughout the New Year celebrations, and in the last 2 days we have had rain (yes it does rain sometimes on the Cote D'Azur!) which has been falling as snow above about 300 metres. So all our local ski resorts Aurone, Isola 2000 etc are inundated with snow, so all the talk here is where you are going skiing for the weekend and we are blessed with a wide choice within an hour and a halves drive, it's a difficult choice with some preferring to hop over the border into Italy and others opting for the convenience of the French resorts on our doorstep. Personally with our children still learning French, and the muddle I got into the last time I was in Italy (combining English, French and a smattering of Italian) it France for us!
